A general restatement of document categories commonly requested for Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) applications. Two of the three published gates (employer accreditation, the job check) are the employer's documents, not the applicant's; this list covers what the applicant themselves is generally asked for. This is not a list of exactly what you must submit. Confirm the exact requirements for your role with Immigration New Zealand.
- Valid passport (and previous passports if requested)
- Signed employment agreement / job offer from the accredited employer
- Job check reference or confirmation from the employerThis comes from the employer, not something you generate yourself
- Evidence of the skills/experience or qualification the role requirese.g. 2+ years relevant experience, or a recognised qualification at NZQF level 4 or above
- Evidence the role pays at or above the published wage / market rate
- English language evidence (if required for the role)
- Health certificates (if required by the role)
- Police / character certificates (if required)
- Passport-style photographs to the published spec
