Find a Licensed Immigration Adviser
When you need advice about your own situation, the right person is a Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA) or a New Zealand lawyer. By law, only they (or other exempt persons) may give New Zealand immigration advice. We are not advisers and we do not assess your eligibility or represent you.
The official public register
We don't recommend or list any specific adviser or firm. Search the official, public register of Licensed Immigration Advisers maintained by the Immigration Advisers Authority, and always confirm an adviser's current licence there before engaging them.
How to choose well
- Confirm the adviser holds a current full licence on the official register.
- Be cautious of anyone guaranteeing an outcome; no one can.
- Get the scope and fees in writing before you pay.
We do not give immigration advice, and we do not partner with, take referral fees from, or recommend any particular adviser or firm.
